■ Introduction to Nylon(PA)

Polyamide is a type of high-molecular compound formed through polymerization of amide groups (CONH). The term "poly" signifies that this material is a polymer composed of many repeating units, while "amide" refers to the presence of amide groups in its molecular structure.

Polyamide is characterized by the presence of amide linkages, which impart excellent heat resistance, chemical resistance, and mechanical properties to the material. Additionally, it exhibits remarkable tensile strength and abrasion resistance, making it suitable for various applications.

One of the most well-known polyamides is Nylon, which was first successfully synthesized by Wallace Carothers at DuPont in 1935. Nylon finds extensive use in the production of fibers, plastics, mechanical parts, automotive components, textiles, fabrics, and household items.
